Each Labour Day weekend the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra puts on a series of concerts for classical connoisseurs and newcomers alike. Sobey’s Symphony Under the Sky takes place in Edmonton’s Hawrelak Park where families gather to experience the orchestral talents that the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra has to offer. This year’s festival features Sparkling Classics, Opramania, Hollywood Adventures and Romances, Let Your Music Shine, Simply Sinatra with Steve Lippia, and last but not least From Trumpets to Tchaikovsky. The festival also includes recitals, workshops, a Pub in the Park, a Teddy Bear Picnic, Children's concert and fireworks. It is a perfect event to bring the whole family to.
